Chanel’s never-ending addiction starts with the Classic Bags, but it doesn’t end there. To further feed our addiction, we need to look at the seasonal releases, and here is one that works; the Chanel Bi Quilted Vintage Bag, introduced for the Spring Summer 2018 Collection Act 2.

The bag reminds me of the Coco Vintage Bag; both looks timeless but got that little vintage touch. And what I love the most is the limited supply after the season is over.

The Design

Chanel Bi Quilted Vintage Bag

Just like the Boy Bag, the center of the Bi Quilted Vintage Bag is diamond quilted while it’s refined with smooth leather around the flap. The bag is made from crumpled calfskin, which is recently introduced and first-embellished on the So Black Classic Flap Bag. The crumpled calfskin is a lighter version of the aged calfskin of the Reissue 2.55 Bag.

The bag comes with woven chain strap, but the most interesting part is the center logo. Zoom-in to look into the details; the CC logo is crafted from silver hardware, but what is surrounding that logo? Yes, it’s been highlighted with colored leather.

I have to say that the Bi Quilted Bag is a unique piece because it’s not exactly like the Classic Bag that everyone is carrying. Also it got a nice shape while at the same time looking very classic and beautiful. The design is timeless, ageless and seasonal-less, you can carry it from January to December without worrying about faux-pas. And also, it’s less expensive than the Classic Flap Bags, amazing right?
